Quality Control

In addition to our own quality control and problem tracking systems, since 1999 FTS has been formally registered to the ISO 9001 international, externally audited, quality system standard. The ISO 9001 standard covers every stage of product development and manufacturing, from our design processes through to factory testing of individual products and systems. The benefits of this very rigorous international quality standard encompass every department of our company.

One of the key elements of the system is a requirement for a demonstrated dedication to constant improvement and the immediate documentation of any problems and their resolution. The on-line system that we created for this gives every employee a fast and simple method of presenting their improvement ideas or identifying problems, and ensuring that those problems get resolved in a timely fashion. The system is managed by our Quality Systems Administrator who reports directly to the President.

Product Reliability

FTS equipment has a long, well-established and referencable industry reputation for durability, reliability and ruggedness.

• All FTS products are designed from the ground up and tested to meet the most stringent quality requirements involving the collection scientific-grade weather data in extreme and harsh outdoor environments.
• All systems, components and supplied sub-components are tested, and testing and assembly procedures are documented and conform to ISO standards.
• Electronic sub-components are cycle tested and calibrated as required under varying climatic and atmospheric conditions to ensure they are 100% compliant with specifications.
