DTS-12 Deployment Carousel

The FTS DTS-12 deployment carousel is an aluminum mounting bracket (piston) designed to fit inside a standard 4 inch diameter PVC standpipe. It provides a convenient deployment and retrieval method that is suitable for many DTS-12 turbidity sensor installation applications. The carousel easily slides inside the standpipe and is positioned using a 3/4" PVC rod that is attached to a rear bracket on the carousel of similar length to the standpipe. Using a keyed notch position on the sidewall of the carousel, the probe can be positioned in a specific orientation following probe removal for cleaning. As a result, probe deployment and servicing is made extremely easy.

The DTS-12 and the deployment carousel is ideally positioned such that they are fully enclosed in the pipe to offer good protection from entrained debris, but with adequate flow around the head that is representative of that of the mainstream flow. A cutout at the end of the standpipe allows the sensor to project into the water column with the optic face pointing downstream. Drilling orthogonal 2" holes on a 6" spacing will also provide adequate flow through the pipe.
